Handling of personal information

At Urbannet Sapporo Link Tower, we use video footage to ensure safe and comfortable building operation and marketing, including recording and analyzing images at building entrances and common areas. Please note that we do not use this video or data to identify individuals.
Details regarding the analysis and utilization, as well as contact information for inquiries concerning this matter, are as follows.

1. Contents of camera image analysis and utilization

Measuring pedestrian flow and congestion levels

Camera-type sensors are used at building entrances and common areas to measure the number of people passing through corridors and using common facilities.

Purpose of use

The measured data will be used for building management and operation, as well as marketing, to provide a comfortable, safe, and secure environment.
Furthermore, the number of users of shared facilities will be used to display congestion levels on the workers' app tocoto+ (Tokoto Plus) and on digital signage within the building.

Camera installation position/shooting range

Camera-type sensors will be installed on the ceiling in the following locations within the building, and images will be taken of the area below the sensors.

  • North B2Corridor/In front of elevator
  • Smoking room on the first basement floor of the North building, entrance to the underground passage, corridor, and in front of the elevators.
  • North 1st floorshops, atrium
  • North 2nd floorsmoking room, workers' lounge, in front of the elevator
  • South 4th FloorHooK Event Lounge

Overview of data generated or extracted from camera images

Within the sensor, the number of people is counted by image analysis processing centered on the tops of the heads of people passing by or staying in the area below the sensor.
The measured number of people count data does not include any personal information or personal data.
The image analysis process does not identify individuals, and the images are immediately discarded after analysis within the sensor.

2. Other sensors

We have also installed sensors without cameras for the same purposes as described above.
The toilet sensors measure toilet occupancy and long-term use, while the occupancy/occupancy detection sensors measure the occupancy status of HooK's coworking spaces.
The data measured by this sensor does not include video, personal information, or personal data.
