At Akihabara UDX
Acquired BOMA360 Performance Program

NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Sadao Maki) is pleased to announce that Akihabara UDX has received the BOMA360 Performance Program (hereinafter referred to as BOMA360), a quality building certification system implemented by BOMA International (Building Owners and Managers Association International), a US building association. Akihabara UDX is the first building in Japan with a total floor area of 600,000 sf (55,742 m2) or more to receive this certification.

BOMA360 is a certification system that objectively evaluates the results of building management, with certification based on a points system in six categories: (1) building operation and management, (2) life safety/security/risk management, (3) training and education, (4) energy, (5) environment/sustainability, and (6) tenant relations and community involvement. As of June 2015, nearly 1,100 buildings across the United States have been certified, and BOMA360 is recognized as a certification system for excellent buildings, alongside LEED.

This initiative aims to obtain BOMA360 certification, which comprehensively evaluates PM work, with the aim of checking and improving the quality of the property management work (hereinafter referred to as PM work) we are conducting at Akihabara UDX. By obtaining this certification, we hope to be listed as an international standard building, which will contribute to effective communication with various businesses. We will continue to utilize the PM work know-how we have gained at Akihabara UDX to contribute to the creation of a city where everyone can live comfortably.
