"Texture of the City" is a digital zine that invites guests with diverse perspectives to present a theme of "reading the city." The theme of this zine is, now that we have overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, what "ways of interpreting the city" have we acquired?

City and Consumer Design Conference 2
The theme is "Lifestyle design that allows 'one's individuality' to coexist with 'the happiness of others and society.'" It is an attempt to consider practical possibilities while looking ahead to the future of our own consciousness. To broaden the scope and depth of the exploration, this year we have invited architect and architectural scholar Kozo Kadowaki to serve as a supporting researcher.

City and Consumer Design Conference 1
With the recent impact of COVID-19 and changes in people's attitudes in many ways, how should we approach urban development? In response to such questions, we have launched the "City and Resident Design Conference" in collaboration with Yomiko Advertising Inc. and the Urban Life Research Institute. In the first project, we will hold a dialogue with the editors-in-chief of three urban-related magazine media to explore the challenges that future urban development will need to face.
