The commercial facility is scheduled to open on March 31, 2023, coinciding with the opening of the entire park.
- *1Former Hiroshima Municipal Baseball Stadium Site Development Project: Based on the Park-PFI (publicly-bid installation and management system) stipulated in the Urban Parks Act, private businesses will develop park facilities such as revenue-generating facilities for food and beverages and merchandise sales, as well as a covered event plaza, and will also be responsible for the management and operation of the event plaza, etc. as a designated manager.

Aiming to develop park facilities "together with the citizens"
The name and logo for this commercial facility were created with the hope that it will become a facility that can be developed together with the citizens, just like the former Hiroshima Municipal Baseball Stadium, which was built together with the citizens, and that it captures the unique characteristics of an urban park located in the center of Hiroshima City, and evokes the image of people chatting in the sunlight filtering through the trees, cheering for someone, or being moved by something, surrounded by Hiroshima's rich nature.
"SHIMINT HIROSHIMA" Facility Overview
"SHIMINT HIROSHIMA" is a commercial facility consisting of a group of wooden stores that can be used in conjunction with the park, creating a new flow of people and excitement in the heart of Hiroshima city. The facility has eight arc-shaped and scattered stores that maximize the appeal of the tenants and ensure a continuous bustle. As a valuable "outdoor environment x stay-oriented" facility in the heart of Hiroshima city, it aims to be a facility that creates a diverse bustle that will lead to repeat visitors by introducing services and functions that complement the commercial functions of the surrounding area.
The tenants for "SHIMINT HIROSHIMA" will be announced at a later date (scheduled for around January 2023).
Overview of the park
This project will develop eight one- and two-story commercial facilities, a space for hosting a variety of events, and an open space with a large roof that will serve as a place for citizens to relax. Through a variety of initiatives centered on stores, events, and plazas, we aim to create a world-class, lively place that will improve accessibility throughout the city center, and to realize a citizens' park that will contribute to further revitalizing the center of Hiroshima City and creating an attractive city.
