Construction begins on our first logistics facility in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture

NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroshi Tsujigami) is pleased to announce that construction has begun on the Yao City Logistics Facility Project (tentative name) (hereinafter referred to as the Project), which will be the company's first logistics facility.

The planned site will be constructed on the former site of the Yao dormitory for single men of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation, and is approximately 3.3 km from the Fujiidera Interchange on the Nishi-Meihan Expressway, making it an ideal location for logistics, enabling deliveries to both central Osaka and the wider area.

Additionally, the property is an eight-minute walk from Shiki Station on the JR Kansai Main Line, making it convenient for commuting and a highly advantageous location for securing employees.

The project is a four-story box-type building that can be divided into two sections, making it suitable for both single and multi-tenants.

In addition, some of the warehouse space is air-conditioned, making the facility a good working and storage environment.

In addition, as a BCP measure, we have installed an emergency generator that can operate for up to 48 hours, allowing us to operate disaster prevention equipment and respond to work in the event of a disaster.

Furthermore, to ensure environmental performance, we have adopted LED lighting throughout the building and installed solar panels, among other measures, which have resulted in a 48% reduction in standard primary energy consumption, earning us 5 stars from the BELS. We have also earned an A rank (overall rating of 4 stars) from CASBEE Osaka Mirai, which comprehensively evaluates the environmental performance of buildings, including these efforts.

Completion is scheduled for August 2025.
