As part of the Hiroshima Castle Sannomaru Development Project undertaken by Hiroshima Castle Associates (a joint venture of 11 companies, including Chugoku Broadcasting as the representative entity), the opening date for the first phase of commercial facilities at Sannomaru, Hiroshima Castle, has been set for Saturday, March 29, 2025.
Five new stores will be established, including restaurants where you can enjoy Hiroshima and Japanese cuisine, stores where you can experience historical culture such as the tea ceremony and shado, and a product center offering a selection of Hiroshima's finest products, popular items, and beloved local souvenirs.
This is an area where you can experience Hiroshima's history and culture in any way you like, by eating, playing, learning, walking, relaxing, and feeling the Hiroshima Castle tower nearby.
Additionally, we will be installing multi-function and multi-purpose toilets on the premises that are available 24 hours a day, aiming to make the park even more user-friendly.
Connected to Hiroshima Gate Park and HIROSHIMA STADIUM PARK in Hiroshima City Central Park via a pedestrian deck, the park also features a 67-car parking lot, tourist bus boarding and disembarking areas, and a taxi stand. This marks the birth of a new tourist hub for Hiroshima, with easy access to neighboring areas such as Peace Park, Kamiyacho, and Hatchobori.

Hiroshima Castle Sannomaru logo (vertical and horizontal layout)

■Logo concept
By symbolizing "Sannomaru" with the motif of three circles and the castle ruins symbol,
We created a simple logo design that is easy for everyone to remember.
The three circles represent the past, present, and future, expressing the idea of learning from the past to create something new.
It has the dignity of a historical and cultural hub, while also being friendly and approachable.
We aimed to create a design that would be loved for a long time as a symbol of the new tourist destination.
