NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yasushi Ikeda; hereinafter referred to as "NTT Urban Development") has concluded an off-site corporate PPA with NTT Anode Energy Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Teruyuki Kishimoto; hereinafter referred to as "NTT Anode Energy") at its four office buildings and commercial complexes (SIHNAGAWA SEASON TERRACE, Whiz Harajuku, Urbannet Nagoya Building and Urbannet Urbannet Nagoya nexta Building). (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Teruyuki Kishimoto, President; hereinafter "NTT Anode Energy") for an off-site corporate PPA (hereinafter "off-site PPA" with a generation capacity of approximately 9 MW) to procure additional renewable energy over a long period of time, and will start using additional renewable energy derived power*3 from April 2025. As a result, approximately 10 GWh of renewable energy will be used annually, which is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 3,800 tons per year. In addition, the electricity used in the building, including the electricity used by the tenants entering the building, will be 100% real renewable energy, including electricity from additional renewable energy sources, and will contribute to the sustainable management of the tenants entering the building.
NTT US Group aims to source 100% of the electricity used in all buildings owned by NTT Urban Development from renewable energy sources by fiscal year 2025, and will continue to steadily promote the introduction of renewable energy.
■About off-site PPA
A corporate PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) is a contract under which consumers purchase renewable energy-derived electricity from power generation companies over the long term. An off-site PPA is a model in which electricity is transmitted from a remote power generation facility to a consumer (in this case, NTT Urban Development) via the power transmission and distribution network.
In this off-site PPA, NTT Anode Energy will reduce risks in the event of a disaster by distributing the newly developed solar power plants across multiple locations, and will also ensure a stable supply of backup power over the long term.

- Other indirect greenhouse gas emissions associated with business activities (construction of buildings, use of real estate and goods sold, etc.).
- Additionality refers to how a company's chosen procurement method encourages investment in renewable energy and leads to the substitution of fossil fuels, and plays an important role in the expansion of renewable energy.
- By procuring a combination of renewable energy designated non-fossil fuel certificates, we can achieve essentially 100% renewable energy. Specifically, electricity from the solar power plant will be supplied to the target building using an off-site PPA, and any shortfall in electricity from the solar power plant will be made up by electricity from wholesale power exchanges, etc. Furthermore, renewable energy designated non-fossil fuel certificates will be issued for the electricity from the solar power plant and the electricity from wholesale power exchanges, etc.
- The electricity will be supplied by Ennet Corporation (registered retail electricity supplier number: A0009), a member of the NTT Anode Energy Group, with NTT Anode Energy acting as an intermediary.
- A non-fossil fuel certificate is a certificate that captures the "environmental value" of electricity generated from renewable energy sources that do not use fossil fuels such as oil or coal, and makes it tradable. By combining electricity with a non-fossil fuel certificate designated as renewable energy, a 100% renewable energy ratio can be achieved.
