"The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu"
The former Kyoto Municipal Kiyomizu Elementary School building, which opened in 1869 as Shimogyo 27th Elementary School and was relocated and newly constructed at its current location in the early Showa period, has been preserved and renovated to become a high-quality heritage hotel that opened in March 2020. In addition to the functions expected of a hotel up until now, the hotel also plays a new role in passing on to a new era the history and culture that the elementary school and local community have built over the years, based on the concept of "carving memories and connecting to the future."
Comment from General Manager Takanori Muroi
"We are truly honored that The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu has been awarded the Michelin Guide Hotel Selection "1 Michelin Key" for the second year in a row. This honor is the culmination of the efforts of each and every staff member who has dedicated themselves to providing heartfelt service to our guests every day, and also thanks to the many guests who have sympathized with and supported our philosophy. We are deeply grateful. Going forward, all of our staff will continue to work even harder to provide all our guests with a memorable stay, while pursuing hospitality befitting the historic location of Kiyomizu, Kyoto."

NTT Urban Development and NTT Urban Development Hotel Management will continue to contribute to the creation of regional appeal and sustainable development through hotel development and management that pursues "value that can only be found there," focusing on location, environment, and uniqueness. In 2026, we plan to open "Capella Kyoto" and "HYATT CENTRIC Sapporo," and we aim to create hotels that will be highly acclaimed by domestic and international guests, just like the hotels that have recently received the "Michelin Key."
