TOKYO SUTEAM

About TOKYO SUTEAM

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been implementing the "TOKYO SUTEAM" (hereinafter referred to as "this project"), a start-up support initiative by diverse entities, since fiscal year 2023, in order to realize the "10x10x10 innovation vision to pave the way for the future" set out in "Global Innovation with STARTUPS," which was formulated in November 2022.

Partner companies selected for this project will utilize their know-how, networks, fields, etc. to support new startups and take on initiatives that will lead to the creation of a startup ecosystem in Tokyo.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government aims to support these efforts and encourage networking among partner companies, with the aim of collaborating with them to create and grow startups.

About our "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Co-creation Acceleration Program"

We recognize that many pre-foundation entrepreneurs have difficulty finding initial customers when considering new businesses, and provide financial support and support to entrepreneurs aiming to solve problems related to daily life during the service prototyping and verification phases. Furthermore, we provide real estate assets, such as offices and homes owned by us in Tokyo, which are places of life, as verification fields for prototypes.

<Program details>

  • Research Program
    We will conduct a survey of Tokyo residents to identify issues affecting their daily lives.
    The aim is for the results to be used by entrepreneurs when considering new businesses.
  • Learn Program
    We provide targeted entrepreneurs with lectures and workshops on building business models, product management, and user interview techniques.
  • Co-Create Program
    We will provide funding for product development to entrepreneurs selected from those who have completed the Learn program.
    We will support improvements to the prototypes we create by conducting large-scale user tests involving Tokyo residents, utilizing real estate assets.

These programs will help entrepreneurs find initial customers and establish business models early, thereby improving the speed and accuracy of their growth. Furthermore, by creating an environment where Tokyo residents can actively participate in the startup creation process and feel closer to startups, we hope to expand the base of the startup ecosystem.
