Agreement Concluded on Forest Management for Corporate Forest "Ecology Grandpa's Forest 2"

NTT Urban Solutions Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kou Ikeda) endorsed the purpose of the "Corporate Forest" initiative, which is part of the "Low-Pollen Forest Creation Movement" being promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries together with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and signed an agreement on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. This will be the second "Corporate Forest" for NTT Urban Solutions Group (hereinafter "our group"), following "Ecologii's Forest" (Kurosawa, Ome City), where NTT FACILITIES Inc. has been conducting forest conservation activities based on the same project since 2017.

The forest in Umego, Ome City, is the area of the agreement for this "Corporate Forest," and has been named "Eco-Grandpa's Forest 2." The company will cover the costs of forest maintenance over the next 10 years, and will contribute to forest conservation activities through tree planting and undergrowth clearing by employees.

Overview of the Agreement

Targeting the forests in Umego, Ome City, our company, the forest owner, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Promotion Foundation have concluded an agreement on forest management and will work to create low-pollen forests.

Future Initiatives

Our group recognizes that the conservation and restoration of biodiversity is an important management issue. In October 2025, we formulated the "NTT Urban Solutions Group Biodiversity Policy," and are promoting initiatives *1 that take biodiversity into consideration in various phases of our business, including urban development consulting, real estate development, design and facility management, and property management. We also plan to use "Ecologii's Forest 2" to strengthen communication with employees about biodiversity and to provide educational opportunities for employees about biodiversity.

<Reference> What is a "Corporate Forest"?

"Corporate Forest" is a project to promote "low-pollen forest creation" with the support of companies (organizations). A 10-year forest management agreement is concluded between the owner of the target forest, the company (organization), and the Tokyo Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Promotion Foundation (a public interest incorporated foundation). During this period, the company (organization) can name the forest and use it to promote their social contribution activities and as a training site.
