NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroshi Tsujigami) is pleased to announce that the Osaka Hoenzaka Hotel Project (Hotel name: Patina Osaka) (hereinafter referred to as the "Property"), which is currently under development and construction of which began in January 2023 in the Hoenzaka Kita Specific Block, a specific block designated by Osaka City Planning, has obtained the "ZEB Oriented" certification ^*, the first of its kind among our hotel development properties.

Based on NTT Urban Solutions Group's slogan of reducing environmental impact, we are actively working on environmentally friendly real estate development, including obtaining environmental certifications such as ZEB.

This property has achieved a reduction of more than 30% from the standard primary energy consumption throughout the building by improving the building's thermal insulation through the use of low-E double-glazed glass, introducing high-efficiency equipment such as latent heat recovery water heaters, adopting various energy-saving controls such as using regenerative electricity from elevators, and reducing transportation power through the decentralization of equipment.As a result, the property has earned the highest rating (five stars) in the Building Energy Efficiency Labeling System (BELS) certification and obtained ``ZEB Oriented'' certification on September 26, 2023.

Additionally, as part of our efforts to reduce our environmental impact after opening (scheduled for spring 2025), we are also considering becoming an "RE100 Hotel (source 100% of our electricity needs from renewable energy)."

We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable, carbon-neutral society through the development of buildings with excellent environmental performance.

• *ZEB Oriented certification is a certification system for buildings with a total floor area of 10,000 m2 or more that have implemented measures to achieve further energy savings in addition to high-performance exteriors and highly efficient energy-saving equipment. Hotels and other buildings are required to reduce primary energy consumption by 30% or more, excluding renewable energy, and to introduce unevaluated technologies as "measures to achieve further energy savings."
