Low-rise facility "YUI NOS"
■Facility name and logo
About "YUI NOS":
"YUI" means "tie" and "NOS" means "nest," and the name reflects the idea of a place where diverse people and ideas come together to create innovation. The logo mark also expresses the gathering and interaction of people with the handwriting of the character "YU" that resembles a tying thread. We aim to be a hub that connects people, and a place that brings together wisdom, ideas, and excitement.
Coworking space operated by ATOMica Co., Ltd.
YUI NOS has selected ATOMica Inc. as the facility operator to realize its goal of creating a co-creation hub for innovation. The co-working space at the heart of the co-creation hub will be available to a wide range of people, including entrepreneurs, students, and general companies, and will aim to stimulate innovation by holding events that connect companies and matching them using the application (knotPLACE).
Additionally, a community manager will be stationed at the facility to support interactions with a variety of people and help form a local community. In addition, by collaborating with the Sendai Startup Studio, which the city of Sendai will open in the coworking space, the facility will function as a one-stop support center for startups, with the aim of becoming a new hub for co-creation and innovation in Sendai.
[Comment from Mizuki Shimada, Representative Director and Co-CEO of ATOMica Inc.]
We are currently working to create communities and towns in nearly 30 regions across Japan to foster sustainable encounters, exchanges, and co-creation, and the origins of this work lie in Sendai.
When I started my first business in Sendai during my university days, I was supported by a wide variety of local people, including senior entrepreneurs, and I feel strongly that the community helped me grow. We will use the lessons and experiences we have gained in other regions to create mechanisms for regional revitalization and co-creation at YUI NOS, so please feel free to come along. The entire ATOMica team looks forward to seeing you at YUI NOS.

■Sound art (sound space production)
YUI NOS 's first to third floors feature permanent sound art installations by internationally acclaimed Sendai-born acoustic space artist Junya Oikawa (CEO of Sonifidea LLC). The acoustic installations, which utilize ICT and sensing technology to change in response to the movement of cars passing through Higashi-Nibancho-dori Street, and incorporate sounds recorded during fieldwork in Miyagi Prefecture, connect people with each other, people with places, and evoke nostalgic memories, creating a comfortable acoustic space for both the property's users and the local community.
