Hyatt Centric Sapporo Appoints General Manager; Hyatt to Open in Sapporo in Autumn 2026

NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kou Ikeda; hereinafter "NTT Urban Development") and its group company, NTT Urban Development Hotel Management Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Junichi Matsumoto; hereinafter "NTT Urban Development Hotel Management"), a hotel management company, are pleased to announce that Yuki Takimura has been appointed General Manager of the HYATT CENTRIC Sapporo, scheduled to open in the fall of 2026 at Urbannet Sapporo Link Tower (scheduled for completion in June 2026), which is currently under development in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and that a hotel opening preparation office has been established in Sapporo.

HYATT CENTRIC Sapporo will be located on part of the 1st floor and floors 17-26 of Urbannet Sapporo Link Tower, marking Hyatt Hotels Corporation's first hotel in Sapporo. In addition to 216 guest rooms (including 9 suites), the hotel will feature a restaurant and bar using local ingredients, a fitness facility, and a multi-purpose event space. The hotel's interior, designed to reflect the history, culture, and charm of Hokkaido, offers panoramic views of Sapporo city and even Ishikari Bay. It is also conveniently located near the former Hokkaido Government Office and Odori Park, and is approximately a 10-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station (directly connected via underground passage). The hotel's interior design will be handled by BOND DESIGN STUDIO Co., Ltd., which has worked on a wide range of projects, including luxury hotels both domestically and internationally.

General Manager: Yuki Takimura

After joining Park Hyatt Tokyo in 2002, I built my career primarily in the food and beverage department. Later, I left Hyatt to gain diverse experience at luxury hotels both domestically and internationally. From 2019, I was a key member of the team that opened Park Hyatt Niseko HANAZONO, where I served as Deputy General Manager in 2022.

Most recently, I served as the Operations Director for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts Japan & Micronesia, overseeing the operation and staffing of 23 hotels.
