NTT Urban Development (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Kou Ikeda) announces that it has completed construction of the south building of the "Hiroshima Dori" commercial facility at the site of the Miyazaki branch of NTT West (1-12-1 Hiroshima, Miyazaki City) based on the "Collaboration Agreement for the Promotion of Next-generation Urban Development" concluded on December 23, 2022 with the City of Miyazaki, NTT Urban Solutions Corporation and the Miyazaki branch of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (hereinafter "NTT West"). ("NTT West"), the construction of the "HAROW Hiroshima-dori" commercial facility in the south wing of the Miyazaki City Hiroshima 1-chome Project has been completed, with eight stores having opened in advance.

In addition to the advance opening ceremony on November 23rd, opening events were held over two days, on the 23rd and 24th. On the same day, an event commemorating the 100th anniversary of Miyazaki City ("SMILE MIYAZAKI 100th Anniversary Festival") was also held, and HAROW Hiroshima-dori got off to a lively start, with many residents and visitors coming and going.

The full opening of HAROW Takachiho-dori and HAROW Hiroshima-dori is scheduled for spring 2025. We will continue to contribute to improving mobility and creating further excitement in Miyazaki City's downtown area.

2. Eight stores on HAROW Hiroshima Street will open first

At HAROW Hiroshima-dori, eight stores opened early under the concept of a "unique local market," including restaurants using local ingredients and shops selling carefully selected items, and each store and terrace was bustling with people enjoying their meals and shopping.

3. Pre-opening event

The event that followed the ceremony featured workshops based on the concept of "creating and having fun together with visitors," including silkscreen printing, badge making, and icing cookie making. Many people, from children to adults, participated in a market featuring unique local baked goods shops, a participatory radio show, and a night event where visitors could enjoy craft beer accompanied by DJ music. Additionally, on Hiroshima Street, Miyazaki City and NTT Urban Solutions collaborated to create a "City Picneat" event, occupying the entire road, and a lingering space, bringing excitement to the entire street.

In addition to the outdoor plaza "PARK" where the event was held, HAROW Hiroshima Street also has an indoor event space called the "POPUP Area" equipped with a kitchen, which is open to the public.
