NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasushi Ikeda; hereinafter, "the Company") is pleased to announce that construction of the Osaka Hoenzaka Hotel Project (Patina Osaka) (hereinafter, "the Property"), which it had been developing, was completed on Friday, February 28, 2025.
The property is a 21-story hotel with a total floor area of approximately 38,940 m2, located close to Osaka Castle Park and Naniwanomiyaato Park. It offers a panoramic view of Osaka Castle and central Osaka, and features 221 guest rooms, each with a standard floor area of 50 m2, a spa and fitness center offering a high-quality, out-of-the-ordinary experience, restaurants, and a banquet hall that can be used for international conferences and receptions.
Furthermore, "Patina" is the lifestyle brand of Capella Hotel Group (headquarters: Singapore; CEO: Cristiano Rinaldi), which operates some of the world's leading luxury hotels, resorts, and serviced residences, and this will be its first appearance in Japan. Inspired by the memories of the land, which is steeped in Japan's iconic history, such as Osaka Castle and the Naniwa Palace ruins, Patina Osaka is sprinkled with elements that evoke a connection to the land, such as incorporating the stone walls of Osaka Castle as motifs on the hotel's exterior walls and in-guest art, providing a luxurious experience that leaves a lasting impression on every moment.
Patina Osaka will open to the public on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Please note that from Wednesday, April 16 to Wednesday, April 30, only private events will be held.
- The facility will be closed to the general public from Wednesday, April 16th to Wednesday, April 30th.
For reservations after May 1st (Thursday), please refer to the official Patina Osaka website. https://patinahotels.com/ja/osaka

■About this property
Following the approval of the Osaka City Planning Specific Block "Hoenzaka Kita Specific Block" in February 2021, development of this property has been progressing with the aim of contributing to the further development of the "historical and tourist hub" around Osaka Castle and Naniwa Palace, as well as functioning as an accommodation facility that will help strengthen Osaka's international competitiveness.
Considering its location directly opposite Osaka Castle's main tower, the property features a simple facade design that quietly nestles in the lush green surroundings. Pedestrian spaces will be developed that connect with the green spaces of Osaka Castle Park and Naniwanomiyaato Park, promoting harmony with the surrounding area and promoting easy access.
Additionally, in the adjacent Naniwa Palace Ruins Park (northern block), a group of which our company is a representative member is working to enhance the value of the entire block by restoring the base and corridors of the later Imperial Palace main hall of Naniwa Palace, as well as developing a commercial facility called "Nano Niwa" that will increase the park's convenience, a parking lot, and other facilities (scheduled to open in March 2025).

Based on the NTT Urban Solutions Group's slogan "Green Future with US *," we are working to reduce environmental impact with the aim of realizing a sustainable, carbon-neutral society.
This property has earned the highest rating (five stars) from the Building Energy Efficiency Labeling System (BELS) and is also ZEB Oriented certified, thanks to improvements to the building's thermal insulation, such as the use of low-E double glazing, and the introduction of highly efficient equipment, such as latent heat recovery water heaters. It is also the first property in Osaka to receive the SEGES (Social and Environmental Green Space Evaluation System) "Tsukuru Midori" certification, certified by the Organization for Landscape and Urban Green Infrastructure.
We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable, carbon-neutral society through the development of buildings with excellent environmental performance.
