Yamada Denki's "LABI LIFE SELECT" will open in the new "pacela" store, marking its seventh store in Japan.

NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kou Ikeda; hereinafter "NTT Urban Development") is pleased to announce that Yamada Denki Co., Ltd. (Head office: Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture; President and CEO: Takatake Sano; hereinafter "Yamada Denki") has decided to open a new store, "LABI LIFE SELECT pacela pacela (tentative name)," in the Pacela commercial facility currently undergoing renovation within Motomachi Credo (Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture). The store is scheduled to open in autumn 2026.

Yamada Denki's "LIFE SELECT" is a large-scale, hands-on specialty store that handles not only home appliances but also a wide range of lifestyle-related products and services, including furniture, interior design, toys, and renovations. This will be the first "LABI LIFE SELECT" brand store to open in urban areas in the Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu regions. The store will boast a total of six floors, from the first to the sixth, and an area of approximately 13,000 sq. m, and will support customers with one of the largest product selections and services in the region.

About the store concept

Based on the concept of "MOTOMACHI CENTRAL BASE, a base that will change the way people spend time in central Hiroshima," the commercial facility "pacela" offers "new experiences and excitement," while Yamada Denki's "LABI LIFE SELECT" offers a variety of services focused on customers' "living" and has adopted a "complete lifestyle" strategy. Through this collaboration, the two companies aim to create a trend that will be enjoyed by people of all ages and make them "want to visit the city even more."

We are considering a floor layout and product lineup that will be compatible with existing pacela stores, such as an experience-oriented corner that emphasizes entertainment, and an experience-oriented corner on the middle floors that offers beauty and hairdressing appliances, fitness, massage machines, and health equipment, and we will continue to create a facility where customers can shop in an enjoyable and comfortable environment.

Renewal of pacela commercial facility

The new pacela aims to bring new vitality to the ever-evolving Kamiyacho/Motomachi area in Hiroshima city center, and to become a facility that is loved and full of charm for customers. In addition to attracting tenants, the atrium space from the first-floor Fureai Hiroba (Interaction Plaza) to the sixth-floor Sky Patio/Wing Plaza will be renovated to increase visitor value and ease of movement within the building. With new fixtures and plants based on the themes of strolling, lingering, and views, the open space of the new pacela will be reborn as a semi-outdoor "multi-level park." The atrium space is scheduled to be renovated in spring 2026.
