"Patina Osaka" opens today, May 1st (Thurs)

NTT Urban Development Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasushi Ikeda; hereinafter "NTTUD") and its group company, hotel management company UD Hospitality Management Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Junichi Matsumoto; hereinafter "UDHM"), are pleased to announce that Patina Osaka (General Manager: Ellen Franke) in Chuo-ku, Osaka City, will open on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Patina is a new hotel brand operated by the Capella Hotel Group, which was consecutively selected as the best hotel brand in 2023 and 2024 by an international travel magazine, and this is its first time in Japan.

Patina Osaka is located close to Osaka Castle Park and Naniwa Palace Ruins Park, offering a panoramic view of central Osaka. The 20-story building features 221 spacious guest rooms, with standard rooms measuring a generous 50 square meters, as well as a spa and fitness center offering a high-quality, out-of-the-ordinary experience, restaurants, and a ballroom suitable for international conferences and receptions.

The 20th floor, which serves as the reception area, offers a spectacular view of the scenery surrounding Osaka Castle, which changes with the seasons, welcoming guests with a spectacular view. In one corner of the floor, there is a DJ booth, a record collection, and an art wall made from vintage speakers, allowing guests to experience the musical culture that Patina holds dear.

The art in the guest rooms incorporates elements that evoke a connection to the land, such as the stone walls of Osaka Castle. Corner rooms feature luxurious balconies overlooking Osaka Castle, Osaka Castle Park, and Naniwa Palace Ruins Park, creating a relaxing space.

The dynamic 386m² space is equipped with an excellent sound system, 4K LED screen, and color-adjustable intelligent lighting to create an immersive experience. The west side also features a lush garden terrace, making it suitable for a wide range of purposes, including international conferences and receptions.

The space can be divided into various sizes depending on its purpose (Kiri, Toka, Toyo, Koromi), and can be used for a wide range of purposes beyond just business.

■Patina Chapel

Warm light pours in through the glass windows that cover the entire wall, offering a panoramic view of the majestic Osaka Castle. Every detail will be carefully considered to create a wedding that is both formal and beautiful.

■Spa & Wellness

Featuring cutting-edge health-tech equipment, including four pieces of equipment that are the first of their kind in a Japanese hotel, the hotel offers programs aimed at not just relaxation but also improving vitality and promoting health. Hyperbaric Oxygen & Hydrogen Therapy utilizes Airpod™ technology, a hydrogen bath capsule that combines oxygen and molecular hydrogen to restore the body's natural balance and help maintain healthy oxygen levels.

The 19th floor is home to "IÑAKI," where guests can savor authentic Basque cuisine, "Maai," a teppanyaki restaurant with private rooms suitable for business occasions, and the tea lounge "Nijiri." The 20th floor is home to the hotel lobby, as well as the bar lounge "SONATA BAR & LOUNGE," where guests can relax to the sound of records, and an open-plan rooftop bar, both of which offer panoramic views of Osaka.
